Just starting out....

I'm not entirely sure why I decided to start blogging. It isn't like we have an incredibly busy life or are always going on great adventures. We're pretty typical, I suppose. Dad works, mom stays home with the kids. Kids fight, kids make up, kids tag team driving mom crazy....pretty much sums it up. I guess I needed an avenue to vent my thoughts. Plus, I know everyone likes to keep up-to-date on what the children are doing. I figured this was as good as anything. So....

Today was a big day in our house- Trinity started kindergarten. I have no idea where all the time went! One minute she was just a tiny baby, next minute she's walking into school with the biggest smile plastered on her face. She was ready. The five of us got up and fixed breakfast, then took her to school. Evidently she didn't think I was going to walk her into her room, because right at her doorway she turned around and said "Ok mama, I love you! Bye!" That was a big crush to the ego. What happened to my little girl who bawled for weeks everytime I dropped her off at preschool? We weren't the last set of parents to leave, so we get props for that. I did, however, cry. Luckily, I broke away from the class before that started, so she didn't see me. It was all so natural for her. I hope she stays that excited about school! I've prayed all day for her, hoping she makes friends and the kids are kind. I really don't feel like kicking any little kid's butts today, lol.

Madison handled it better than I expected. She followed me into Trinity's room and decided she needed to help the other kids take out their crayon boxes. I think she's ready for school as well, poor thing. I really should try to find her a preschool to go to. She was ok after about half an hour, but she's been my shadow all day. I think we'll have a better day tomorrow.

Mason is getting huge. He's going to be our little linebacker, i'm sure. And he's so funny. He is always smiley and laughing- he's rarely ever fussy. Probably the best baby I could ask for. Now that I said that, he's probably going to be a terror once he's 2. Oh well, i'll have this to remind me of how sweet he was at one point.

45 minutes until we pick up Trinity from school. Both kids are sleeping now, finally. Mason was awake up until about half an hour ago. Maybe this will help get him on a schedule! Can I be that lucky?

Off to attempt to do something productive. I can't wait until Trinity is home so we can see how she did!
