Today is Mother's Day. Mostly, it's like any other day in our house. I don't (or wont) slack on my part of the house just because it's "my" day. But even though its still a regular day, I still feel special when this day rolls around. I'm a part of an elite club of superwomen (most of them, at least). Moms, at least the good ones, are awesome. They hold down a ton of different job titles, and often do their job without thanks or open appreciation. Mothers are simply awesome. It is most definitely the hardest job in the world, but by far the most rewarding. I feel so truly blessed to be raising my kids. I love being their mom more than anything this world. They are absolutely amazing, and I'm pretty sure anyone who knows them would agree!
I sincerely hope it doesn't take a day on a calendar to remind people to appreciate their moms. I know life gets crazy and hectic, and somedays we barely have time to think, but showing appreciation to those we love is so important- even if its nothing more than saying "thanks for everything you do- you rock!"
