A throw up throw down.

Good gracious. What a month!

Towards the end of January, my dentist decided he wanted my lower wisdom teeth on a silver platter. They never came up- they were impacted. They didn't cause me any issues at all. Yet, for some reason, he decided to be all proactive and get them out. Whatever. So that was fun.

Madison lost her first tooth on 1/15. She lost her second tooth a few days ago. She's not even 5 yet. I'm still trying to figure out where to send my grievances to.

February was a busy month. We finally started getting in to the routine of school for two parents, as well as school for the little ones. It's been tough, but I think we finally got it worked out. Then, I had to throw in next year's school preparations in. This includes starting Madison's kindergarten orientation, and finding myself a school for the new semester. For some really odd reason, the majority of nursing deadlines fell on February 1st for the fall semester. This put a serious kink in my plan. I may have that figured out now, but to avoid jinxing it, I'll refrain from talking about it now.

Valentine's Day was fun. We did little crafts, gave the kids some presents, and ate heart shaped pizza for dinner. It was very low key- just how we wanted it.

About a week later, the real "fun" began. The following Tuesday (the 21st), we took the kids out to breakfast before they had to go to school. We were originally planning on taking them to a "Breakfast for Books" fundraiser at their school, where you went to breakfast at school then went over to the book fair, however, I wasn't in the mood to try and tame all 3 children by myself in such a massive crowd. At the last minute, Scott decided to join us, so we splurged and let the kids have McDonald's for breakfast (oh my gosh, MCDONALDS?! The horror!) So we give Mason a drink of orange juice while his food is cooling down. Next thing you know, there was vomit everywhere.

Amazing way to start out a morning.

So I dropped Trinity off at school, and took Mason home to recover. Mason threw up for the remainder of the day and night. The next day, he was semi-ok (not throwing up as much), so I figured it was a 24 hour bug that just needed to work itself out. I lysoled the house, and hoped for the best. That night, he threw up again. About an hour later, Trinity threw up.

Right now is a good time to mention Scott's weak stomach. Every time he sees/hears/smells vomit, he gags. So basically, and I say this with love, he was useless....at least with dealing with the puke. He was good at giving clean up baths and dumping soap in the washing machine.

Anyways, so Trinity threw up all day Thursday. Wednesday night, Madison threw up once, so I figured she was about to get it too.....but she's a trooper. She didn't throw up again. Mason, however, continued. Then on Thursday, I woke up with it too, and Scott's stomach killed him (but he refused to throw up).

If you're keeping track, that is 4/5 sick, with 5/5 puking at least once. Needless to say, it was a fun week. To make matters worse, I had a parent/teacher conference on Thursday night that I couldn't get out of. So I showed up looking like death (but Trinity's teacher didn't mind- she raved about Trinity, which made me feel less sick).

Friday was slightly better. By Saturday, it seemed as if everyone was finally better. Until Mason threw up. Again. When he threw up on Sunday, I decided to make him a doctor's appointment for the next day. He was fully hydrated still, but throwing up for that many days in a row can NOT be normal.

Um, I was wrong. Evidently, when little ones get the stomach bug, it takes their tummys a while to reset. I was sent home with some zofran and prayers.

Monday, he threw up again. Tuesday, he threw up again. Wednesday (yesterday), however, he did NOT throw up again. Could be possibly be done? Who knows. All I know is, I'm over it.

So that's our incredibly uninteresting update. With any luck, March wont be quite as eventful.
