Holy cow! 2011, come back!

Today, Madison exclaimed "Today is the last day of November! Tomorrow is December, then its Trinity's birthday, then Christmas, then some more months, then MY birthday!" (her birthday is in April. Some more months are just those pesky ones between January and March....

I knew it was the end of November, but somehow hearing it put things in a whole new perspective. I can remember being a kid- it took FOREVER to get from January to July (my birth month), then July to December. Years, it seemed. Now, I feel like I snap my fingers, and BOOM- its here. Seriously, Trinity will be 7 in 19 days, Madison is turning 5 in a few months (and we get to start kindergarten orientation stuff in January), and Mason is pushing 18 months (ok, he just turned 17 months, but 18 months is right there!).

I feel like I blink, and time just flies by. Yet when I'm having a craptastic day, and I just want the day to end, it drags on F-O-R-E-V-E-R. Funny how that works.

This week has been interesting. Scott decided to go back to school. Yes, that means that both of us will be in school. At the same time. And balancing kids. Plus he'll still work full time. Should be interesting, no? His will be all online, so I suppose that will be helpful. I worry that we're stretching ourselves a bit thin, but I think we can handle it. In a year and a half or so, he'll have his bachelors, and (with any luck), I'll have my RN. I've yet to decide how much farther I'll go after that.

I'm still planning Trinity's party. Actually, if we're gonna be honest, I'm still at the stage I was here, except I have a few more RSVPs now.

Finals can NOT come soon enough. This semester has been a hectic one, and I am looking forward to a few weeks of down (ha) time before I start back up with one of the hardest semesters I have ever taken. Did I mention I suck at science and math, yet I'm going for an Associates in Science? Hello, moron! Oh well. I'm learning.

We went and had our pictures done. You know when you have that epiphany right before stuff hits the fan, where you go "man, maybe now would be a good time to bail". I had that while I was trying to get Mason's dress pants on him, yet I ignored it. Needless to say, that was dumb. We got a few good ones, but boy- that kid did NOT want to sit still, or smile, or even be in the studio area. Next year will be easier. Just in case we need a divine miracle, I'll start praying for it.

And that, my friends, is our last week in a nutshell. OH, and I went black friday shopping- but I'll tackle that in another post. Now, I need to go make dinner. Or do laundry. Or something productive.
